Cristina Baldoli
Biography
Dr. Cristina Baldoli is the head of the Pediatric Department of the Neuroradiology Department of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, praised by Professor Andrea Falini.
After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in 1992 at the University of Milan, she also specialized in radiology there in 1996. During this period, she also took courses abroad.
Dr. Baldoli is engaged in the organization of pediatric neuroradiological activities and is the creator of the project for the reception and preparation of children and families for neuroradiological research. Her activities are focused on performing complex neuroradiological studies for children, with special sessions for examinations requiring sedation (in cooperation with the Neuroanesthesia Service), neonatal studies of spontaneous sleep, fetal MRI studies and ultrasound brain scans.
As a researcher in the field of pediatric neuroradiology, she is particularly interested in MRI studies using advanced methods of normal and pathological brain development from prenatal to adolescence. She also collaborates with the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget) to study rare diseases such as congenital immunodeficiency, metachromatic leukodystrophy and mucopolysaccharidosis I. Collaborates in research work on the study of brain tumors in children and drug-resistant epilepsies.
She has published various scientific articles, mainly in the field of pediatric neuroradiology, in international journals (H-Index 13). Co-author of the scientific work "Perinatal neuroradiology", 2015.
