George Cremona
Biography
Dr. George Cremona is the Head of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Pathophysiology Service at the Ospedale San Raffaele Clinical Research Institute in Milan. He studied at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, where he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and specialized in respiratory diseases. Between 1991 and 1994, he studied for a doctorate at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
In the service he heads, all respiratory diseases are treated in multidisciplinary outpatient clinics designed for the treatment of severe forms of bronchial asthma, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary neoplasia and sleep apnea. Dr. Cremona provides specialized consultations in all inpatient departments of the hospital.
Dr. Cremona is a visiting professor at Vita-Salute University. Since 2000, he has been the coordinator of a comprehensive course in pulmonology for a Master’s degree program in Medicine and Surgery. He is the author of textbook chapters and scientific articles published in international journals, as well as a reviewer providing one-time services to industry journals such as the European Respiratory Journal, Journal of Applied Physiology, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care.
