Melanoma and Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer
Within GSD, a dedicated group of clinical oncologists actively cooperates with surgeons and radiotherapists to better manage melanoma patients and visit together once per week to guarantee the optimal treatment approach. The group is involved in national and international clinical studies to continuously propose novel therapeutic options as immunotherapy and biological therapies-based combinations.
The oncologists, dermatologists, radiotherapists, oculists, and neurosurgeons cooperate to ensure the best treatment for every melanoma patient thanks to the modern technology available in particular for radiotherapy (Gamma Knife, Cyber Knife and tomotherapy), dermatological control (epiluminescence microscopy), and the cutting-edge oncological therapy (immunotherapy and biological therapy).
