Ankle and Foot Surgery

Foot and ankle surgery at Gruppo San Donato, thanks to the outstanding contribution of Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio, is the heir to the Milanese tradition of foot and ankle orthopedics. It has always stood out, both nationally and internationally, for the development of new surgical techniques, such as medializing calcaneal osteotomy (MCO) and oblique osteotomy of the first metatarsal, both conceived by Prof. Francesco Malerba, and the AMIC (Autologous Matrix-induced Chondrogenesis) technique in arthroscopy for osteochondral lesions of the talus.
