Gabriele Bormolini

Dr. Gabriele Bormolini is a general surgeon, serving as an assistant at the General and Emergency Surgery Unit directed by Prof. Michele Carlucci and as Chief Surgeon at the Emergency Department of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.

He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2012 and completed his specialization in General Surgery with top grades in 2018 at the same university.

Dr. Bormolini's areas of expertise include elective and emergency colorectal surgery, employing either laparoscopic or open approaches (for conditions such as colorectal neoplasms, diverticulosis, and diverticulitis). He also specializes in elective and emergency abdominal wall surgery using laparoscopic or open methods (for issues such as primary or recurrent hernias, laparoceles, and rectus diastasis), stomach conditions (neoplasms, GIST), gallbladder diseases (neoplasms, calculi), and outpatient surgery (nevi, lipomas, cysts, skin lesions).

Additionally, he manages the clinical and supportive care of patients with surgical conditions and polytrauma.
