Info
Project Aim
Improving accessibility to quality maternal and child health services, by strengthening and reorganising outpatient services at Duhok Maternity Hospital.
Background of the Project
Iraq is facing a complex crisis, determined by strong political instability, the need for post-conflict reconstruction and stabilisation, and the fatigue linked to the reconciliation process. Considering the succession of emergency situations and the consequent chronicity of needs, the limited resources available and the crises that continue to weigh on the health system, in the framework of the joint strategy with the General Directorate of Health in Duhok, AISPO supports the Maternity Hospital of Duhok in the reorganisation of its spaces and functions, building and operating a new outpatient clinic with prevention, assistance, counselling and awareness raising services. The project is financed by the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS).
