Sandro Iannaccone
Biography
Dr. Sandro Iannaccone is the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation for Cognitive and Movement Neurological Disorders at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan and Chairman of the Scientific Society for Rehabilitation (SSR), as well as the Visiting Professor in Clinical Neurology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and Chairman of the Association of private hospital rehabilitation doctors (ARSOP). In addition, he works as a neurologist at the Casa di Cura la Madonnina Clinic.
After receiving a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1982, he completed his first specialization in neurology at the same university in 1986, and then he completed the specialization in Health Science at Columbia University New York, USA in 1991. In 1992, he completed his second specialization in neuropathology at the University of Milan, as a result of which he concentrated in his professional activity on the treatment of cognitive and motor neurological diseases and neurodegenerative disorders.
From 1989 to 1999, he held the position of Assistant Neurologist at the Clinical Institute of San Raffaele in Milan, and then, in 1999, became the Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurorehabilitation at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
Dr. Sandro Iannaccone is the author of 86 scientific articles published in international journals and over 400 congress abstracts, and he is intensively researching, coordinating prestigious international clinical trials to evaluate innovative therapeutic approaches in the treatment of neurological and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
