Rhinoplasty, Septoplasty, Rhinoseptoplasty
What is it?
Rhinoplasty-Septoplasty-Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that entails the aesthetic and/or functional remodeling of the nose.
When is this procedure indicated?
Nose deformities such as back hump, tip hypertrophy, deviations of the nasal septum, nasal-labial angle too closed or open (nose tip too low or vice versa).
How is it performed?
It is a surgical procedure that can be performed under general anesthesia and in some cases under local anesthesia with sedation, with a duration ranging from about 1 to 3 hours. It is possible, depending on the case, to perform a "closed" technique, i.e. without the cut on the skin, or with an "open" technique with a cut on the skin that generally heals very well without obvious signs, to shape the tip, back or septum. If necessary, cartilage/bone grafts can be used to adequately reinforce/shape the nasal structures, both bone and cartilage.
Recovery
Social life and working activities can be resumed after about 1-2 weeks avoiding physical efforts.
