BREAST SURGERY
Plastic and reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery 
The Policlinico San Donato Institute is aimed at all patients who need breast surgery procedures, both reconstructive with direct agreement and consulting with Departmen of Breast Care of ASST Melegnano-Martesana and aesthetic, after demolition oncological operations (mastectomies), or to increase the volume of breasts that have an unwanted shape.

Breast tissue expansion
After mastectomy, breast reconstruction is possible in the same first surgery with the introduction of expander tissue behind the pectoralis major muscle or in front with prepectoral reconstruction, and with the expansion the necessary tissue can be obtained to explant the expander and implant the prosthesis during the second intervention.
Breast augmentation
It is possible to obtain an increase in breast volume through introduction of breast implants. This type of intervention is indicated to adapt the contralateral breast in breast reconstruction or for asymmetrical, hypoplastic, or breasts ptosis due to prolonged breastfeeding.
Breast lipofilling
 
Lipofilling technique is a safe surgical procedure that does not involve allergy risks and not associated with oncological risks. Using this technique in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction allows aging and modification of the new breast similar to the contralateral. Lipofilling technique can be used for  breast augmentation without prosthesis or obtein an “hybrid technique” with prosthesis and lipofilling together.
It uses the patient's own fat, to give definition and volume to the breast with a natural appearance and without presence of any foreign objects, such as a breast implant. Advantages, in this case, are represented by the fact of having a breast made of own tissues, without foreign materials and without the risk of developing allergies.
