Carlo Enrico Fiorentini
Biography
Dr. Carlo Enrico Fiorentini is an orthopedist and is responsible for the I Department of Orthopedics at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
He graduated from the University of Genoa in 1999 and in 2003 specialized in orthopedics and traumatology at the same university.
After his studies, he started working as a specialist doctor at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas under the guidance of Professor Spotorno, an international luminary in hip replacement. In addition to improving surgical techniques in the field of hip replacement and the first knee implant, Dr. Fiorentini improves his knowledge in the field of revision prosthetics and in complex cases. He continued the school of Professor Spotorno in the Department of Hip and Knee Prosthetic Surgery at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio, where he devoted himself to minimally invasive knee surgery with single-chamber prostheses.
Dr. Fiorentini specializes in 360° hip surgery and is a national-scale scientific supervisor on the AMIS technique (Anterior Access for Hip Replacement). He is also engaged in one-component prosthetics of the knee joint, minimally invasive personalized (MY Knee), and revision and restoration of biological tissues.
Since 2018, together with Dr. Dagnino, he has been heading the EJ TEAM division: a team of orthopedists specializing in orthopedic surgery, paying special attention to new minimally invasive methods such as:
- anterior pathway for hip joint prosthesis,
- mini-prosthesis of the patellofemoral knee joint,
- quick recovery (3-day stay).
