Carlo Gaetano Sassi
Biography
Dr. Carlo Gaetano Sassi is a cardiac surgeon of the Department of Cardiac Surgery for Adults of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato di Milano.
In 2013, he received a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Siena, where he also received a degree in cardiac surgery in 2019.
From 2014 to 2019, he was a doctor specializing in cardiac surgery at the Siena University Hospital in Santa Maria Alla Scott. During his specialization, he completed an internship in Florence (Department of Cardiac Surgery Azienda ospedaliero-universitaria Careggi) and in Vienna (Clinical Department of Cardiac Surgery - MedUni Wien, AKH).
Dr. Sassi is engaged in coronary, valvular and aortic surgery. He is also a specialist in minimally invasive and transcatheter cardiac surgery.
He conducts research in the field of the cardiovascular system and has 8 publications as an author/co-author.
