Matteo Pejrona
Biography
Dr. Matteo Pejrona is a neurosurgeon in the GSpine4 operating room of the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio.
In 2007, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Turin, where he received a specialization in Neurosurgery in 2013.
He immediately showed a special interest in the pathology of the spine and was given the opportunity to attend during his special course Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi. Here he was able to improve his clinical and surgical approach to a wide range of spinal pathologies.
Today, he performs daily operations in the operating room, dealing with surgical treatment of spinal pathologies (cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine) with degenerative, tumor, traumatic and deformational pathology.
Special attention is paid to the posterior, lateral and anterior approaches to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
Dr. Pejrona also conducts scientific research, mainly aimed at studying deformities and sagittal and coronary imbalance of the spine.
He is registered with the main scientific societies dealing with vertebral surgery and currently holds the position of officer for Neurosurgery of the Italian Council of AOSpine for the triennium 2019-2022; He also regularly conducts training courses for surgeons in Italy and abroad and also participates as a speaker at national and international courses and congresses.
