Valentina Meroni
Biography
Dr. Valentina Meroni is a specialist in orthopedics iat the Joint Reconstructive Orthopedics Unit of the Orthopedic Clinic (O.R.A.C.O.) at the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant'Ambrogio.
In 2007 she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and in 2013 she received a specialization in orthopedics and traumatology.
During her training in 2010, she attended the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Boston's General Hospital; in 2006, Department of Cardiac Surgery, University of Monterey, Mexico.
She is participating in the scientific study Biochemical & Physiological Study of Mechanism of Coagulation and Fibrynolisis: real time age analysis of In-vivo Thrombus Formation at the Department of Physiology of Hamamatsu University School of Medicine in Japan.
Currently, she is engaged in ward activities for postoperative management of the patient, outpatient activities, in particular in the pathology of the hip and knee joints, surgical activities for hip and knee prosthetics and arthroscopy of the knee.
Infiltrative therapy of the knee, shoulder, and small joints is another area of her activities. Dr. Meroni also conducts specialized orthopedic consultations at the Zucchi Wellness Clinic.
She is engaged in research, in particular on: the use of stem cells in osteoarthritis of the knee, data collection in the hip and knee prosthetic registry, the follow-up of prosthetic implants by RSA, navigation in knee prostheses, and the study of new methods of invasive access system in hip prostheses.
