Michele Carlucci
Biography
Dr. Michele Carlucci is the Head of the Department of General Surgery and Emergency at the Ospedale San Raffaele Clinical Research Institute in Milan and also cooperates with the Casa di Cura La Madonnina Clinic. He is a visiting professor of Digestive and General Surgery at the School of Specialization of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, where he specialized in emergency surgery and ambulance. In 2003, he received a diploma in Robotic Surgery from the Hospital of Grosseto.
Over the years, he has gained experience as the first surgeon in performing abdominal, thoracic, vascular and thyroid surgeries, as well as kidney and pancreas transplants. In addition to surgical activity, he has experience in the clinical rehabilitation of patients with surgical pathologies and polytrauma. Currently, he focuses on the application of laparoscopic techniques in gastric and esophageal surgery for the treatment of neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases.
His works have been published in international journals such as the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Cancer, Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition, Emergency Surgery, Transplantation Proceedings, and Surgical Endoscopy.
