Dermatology departments are reference centers for diagnosis and treatment of vitiligo with excimer laser and narrow band UVB lasers; reference centers for diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis and autoimmune diseases (center PSOCARE) via biological drugs and excimer lasers.
Research
Clinical research is mainly aimed at oncological dermatology, chronic inflammatory diseases, and use of laser techniques in clinical and aesthetic fields.
Particular attention is given to the study of early diagnosis of melanoma, for which non-invasive diagnosis methods based on dermoscopy techniques are used, which are respectively combined with the development of automatic analysis systems for the computer-assisted diagnosis of melanoma.
